How do I apply?

How do I know my application has been received?
You will be updated on Fundi.
What happens when I decide to cancel my application?
If you have not signed our lease agreement, then there are no further steps that need to be taken; you can apply elsewhere. If you have signed our lease agreement then you’ll have to wait a period of 30 days before applying elsewhere.
Is there a deposit that has to be paid?
No, there is no deposit that has to be paid.
Rooms
How do I know a room has been allocated to me?
Once your application has been approved on Fundi, you can go to the accommodation, where you’ll be allocated a room.
What room types are available?
We offer single and double (sharing) rooms.
Can I choose a specific room?
We operate on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you’re early enough, you can choose a room; if not, we’ll allocate you one.
What is included in my room?
A single bed, study desk and lamp, wardrobe, bedside table, and a bookshelf.
Are there storage space for my bags or suitcases in my room?
Yes there is storage.
Will my room be cleaned?
Our cleaning staff does not clean the student’s rooms, only outside in the passages and kitchens.
Will I have a TV in my room?
No ,there are no TVs in the rooms.

How do I access the building?
There is a front gate for those students with cars and there’s a turnstile located at the front as well for those students leaving or entering the building.
Is there parking available?
Yes there is parking available.
Where do I store my bicycle?
We have a designated area for bicycles.
Does Longtreet Lofts provide me with meals?
No we do not provide any meals.
Does Longstreet Lofts offer on-site laundry facilities?
Yes we do.
Is there a gym?
Yes, we have 2 all-in-one gym sets.
What about my courier deliveries?
If you are not at the accommodation at the time of the delivery, then our security guard will collect your parcel and keep it safe until your return. If you are at the accommodation at the time of delivery, then you can just make your way to the front and collect your parcel.
Is there free wifi?
Yes, we provide free, uncapped wifi.
Are there surveillance cameras in place?
Yes, cameras are all over the building, including in kitchens, passageways, the laundry room, TV rooms, and study rooms, but there are no cameras in communes.
Does Longstreet Lofts have a curfew?
Yes, curfew during the week is 10 pm, and over weekends is 12 pm.
Are there designated smoking areas.
Yes, there is an outside smoking area where cigarettes and hubbly are allowed. No weed or alcohol, or any other substances are allowed at the accommodation.
Do we allow sleep overs?
No sleepovers are allowed, and no mixed-gender sleeping arrangements.
Shuttle Service
When does our shuttle operate?
There are no after-shuttle services; the shuttle rides every hour from 7 am to 6 pm. Every Monday to Saturday, during the week strictly to the varsity and the nearby Checkers center, on Saturdays to the malls and other shopping centers, etc.
Do they have to pay for the shuttle service?
No, our shuttle service is completely free.
